Comments/Information/Identification: The field I usually dig about in has a crop of wheat in it at the moment so I’m contenting myself with looking at old finds. This is one of my favourites. I found it when I was a kid on a beach on the west coast of Scotland. It has always intrigued me as it portrays an artist’s hand at an easel on one side and some French script on the reverse, which I can’t make sense of. What does it all mean? I wonder what the original intact piece looked like?
Can you identify this fragment?
