The pattern is called Nuneham Courtney – it became very popular in the 1840s but was used for many years after, until well into the 20th Century. It appears, most often, with a border called Wild Roses.
Common Wild Rose pattern, view of Nuneham Courtenay in Oxfordshire. Lots of makers between 1820 and 1880.
